Yes, the GatwickConnects Protected Connection can be used if you are transferring between flights on airlines within the same terminal or between terminals.

What should I do if I have missed my Connecting flight?

If you haven’t booked a GatwickConnects Protected Connection, then GatwickConnects cannot arrange onward flights. You should contact your onward airline to discuss your options. Your Service Centre – operated by Skybreak, which is located in South Terminal Check In Zone J or on level 2 in North Terminal may also be able to help with alternative travel arrangements.

GatwickConnects is subject to airline operating times and opening hours. Our desks are open from 06.00 to 18.00 daily. If you have missed a connection outside of these hours, you will need to go Your Service Centre – operated by Skybreak, which is located in South Terminal Check In Zone J or on level 2 in North Terminal.

What is the maximum size of hold luggage allowed?

When travelling on flights with different airlines you need to make sure that your luggage will comply with the baggage allowances established by each airline. If you have any doubts please check with your airline before travelling.

If you are arriving or departing with British Airways, Virgin or easyJet on or after 24 January 2017, please be aware that these airlines are moving in January 2017

A GatwickConnects Protected Connection means that in the event that your inbound flight is delayed or cancelled, and so you miss your outbound flight from Gatwick, we will ensure you get onto the next available departure to your destination, at no extra cost to you. We will also provide you with hotel and food vouchers if necessary. This is an innovative service offered by Gatwick Airport, the first of its kind in the UK.

What have I been charged for?

The charge for the GatwickConnects Protected Connection is per person, per departure from Gatwick. In the event that your inbound flight to Gatwick is delayed or cancelled and so you miss your departure from Gatwick, we will ensure you get onto the next available departure to your destination, at no further cost to you.

Can I book without a GatwickConnects Protected Connection?

You can book your flights separately, however in the event that your inbound flight is delayed or cancelled and you miss your departure from Gatwick, you will need to seek alternative options to get to your destination at your own cost. This could mean paying for a new flight.
