Register assistance dogs
Guide and hearing dogs are the only dogs allowed into the terminal buildings except for those animals travelling on flights, providing they comply with the Pets Travel Scheme (PETS).
Passengers requiring guide or hearing dogs therefore need to ensure they are registered with the Pets Travel Scheme (PETS) ahead of travelling.

Investing in facilities at Gatwick
Our PRM service is available to anyone who needs help through the airport which includes the elderly, disabled, blind, deaf, pregnant or those with an injury.
- We have invested around £2 million over the past two years in new and improved services and equipment
- We have six new PRM ambulance minibuses, 100 new wheelchairs, 36 new buggies, 10 aisle chairs and five Ambi lifts
- Audio visual information systems are available to help the deaf, hard of hearing and vision impaired passengers
- Clearer signage and passenger information have been designed for passengers with learning disabilities
- We provide assistance to approximately 30,000 passengers a month, rising to about 47,000 at peak periods
- In 2011 we supported 381,000 passengers with reduced mobility which represented 1.5% of total annual passengers. This number was an increase of 13.9% on the previous year
- During busy peak periods, we can provide assistance to nearly 1,9000 passengers in a single day.
