Update by Charles Kirwan-Taylor, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Director

13 June 2016

Charles Kirwan-Taylor

Following a prolonged period of Easterly operations since 26 May, I can confirm that the operation of the runway at Gatwick Airport switched to Westerly operations at 11:59 local time on Saturday 11 June.  This means that arriving aircraft are now approaching the runway from the east and departures are leaving the runway initially to the west. Therefore, the amended Route 4 option is being utilised and has been in operation since this time.

Once again, please send any feedback to: Route4@gatwickairport.com. All correspondence received will be passed on to the Civil Aviation Authority for use in the analysis of the implementation and amendment to this route.
