In partnership with Central Sussex College in Crawley, we run an exciting airport security officer (ASO) apprenticeship programme.
Our security apprentices are dedicated, energentic and approachable individuals who play a fundamental role in making sure our customers get the best experience when they travel through Gatwick Airport. They drive and deliver great customer service while maintaining the highest standards to keep passengers and staff safe and demonstrate Gatwick’s values and behaviours.
What's involved in the apprentice programme?
The apprenticeship scheme is a mix of on-the-job and classroom training. During the training you are mentored and coached, as well as experience different aspects of our on-airport security operation, from the passenger security search areas to external security.
Up to 35 places will be available through the college for apprentices to join a one year programme at the end of which you'll have achieved a level 2 NVQ qualification in customer service.
