As a major catalyst for growth in the South East we have a significant role to play in ensuring the continued strength of the region’s economy and in providing the international connectivity critical to the wider UK economy.
This is a responsibility we take seriously. We want to become London’s airport of choice and we want to make sure that as we grow, we continue to play our part in attracting and retaining significant investment in London, the Gatwick Diamond area and the UK as a whole.
We work closely with government at a local and national level, and with our airlines and business partners to make sure the full economic value of Gatwick is realised. Locally, we work closely with the Gatwick Diamond, local authorities and other business groups and networks to ensure that our plans for the airport are understood and supported.
We want to make the airport’s supply chain accessible to local firms and our annual Meet the Buyers programme continues to go from strength to strength. We are a key sponsor of the event and supporting seminars that are designed to provide local firms with the opportunity and necessary skills to successfully tender for work at the airport.
