The Gatwick Diamond is important business region, centred around Gatwick Airport, and set up to promote and maximise business opportunities in the area. It stretches from Redhill and Reigate to the South Coast, and from Horsham in the West to Haywards Heath in the East. The Gatwick Diamond is home to a wide range of businesses from household names to niche companies across all sectors of the economy.
As a major international gateway, Gatwick plays a significant role in enabling trade and business, particularly inward investment. We are also a major economic driver for the south-east region, generating around 23,000 on-airport jobs. In addition, 4,000 people are employed off-site in roles directly related to the airport’s operation and, indirectly, Gatwick creates around a further 9,000 jobs.
