Filming & photography
Filming & photography
Filming at London Gatwick Airport provides logistical and security challenges which mean that while we will try to be as accommodating as possible, sometimes we are unable to facilitate filming and photography requests.
All filming and photography at Gatwick Airport requires a permit. Generally, a request must be made at least two working days before the required date. The permit must be shown to airport staff or the police if requested.
To apply for a permit, please contact the press office on + 44 (0) 1293 505000.
Commercial filming and photography
Requests to film will usually incur a facilitation fee unless they are related to a current news issue or involve a business partner. The fee schedule takes into account the number of people involved in the shoot and the time required on our property. Permission can only be granted if the applicant can demonstrate that they have at least £5 million valid public liability insurance cover.
All permits issued are always location and time specific. If you want to film or photograph property used by airlines, handling agents or their staff you must first obtain that organisation’s permission. Requests to go airside require escorts and the issue of temporary passes.
Unfortunately, it is usually not possible to allow student filming and photography at Gatwick.
