BAA Gatwick has won the Travel Bulletin Star Award for Best Major UK Airport for the fifth time at the prestigious Travel Bulletin Awards Ceremony, held at London’s Landmark Hotel last week.
Travel Bulletin is one of the UK’s leading weekly trade magazines and their annual Travel Awards ceremony recognises the achievements of top companies across the leisure and travel industry.
Voted for by travel agents nationwide, Gatwick fought off competition from other UK airports to pick up the award.
“In the year that we celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of South Terminal, we are delighted to receive this award again,” Mike Luddy, Commercial Director BAA Gatwick, who collected the award, said “For fifty years, passengers have been at the heart of our business and winning this coveted award recognises the work done by the entire Gatwick community in fulfilling that value. We would like to thank all those travel agents who have voted for us and all those who have worked to make us the Best Major UK Airport .”
