Gatwick Airport update on weather disruption

Gatwick's runway remains open, however we are expecting significant snowfall for much of today and into the early evening.

Weather disruption has led to delays and cancellations across Europe, with airports including Amsterdam, Geneva, Munich and Copenhagen among those disrupted. All of this has impacted the operations of airlines at Gatwick.

Weather conditions are being monitored on a regular basis so that Gatwick’s snow team can respond to snow and ice with immediate effect.

Gatwick Airport strongly advises passengers flying out this weekend to contact their airline to check their flight status before making their way to the airport.  With public transport and roads likely to be affected, passengers should check with transport operators before planning their journey to the airport.

easyJet yesterday confirmed the cancellation of all flights out of Gatwick between 06:00-10:00, Saturday 18 December. They are also advising of possible further cancellations and delays to other flights throughout today. Passengers are advised to check the airlines website www.easyJet.com for the latest information.
