Gatwick runway re-opens at 07.33

Gatwick Airport's runway re-opened at 07.33 following the earlier closure resulting from heavy overnight snowfall.

Our teams worked throughout the night in challenging conditions to re-open the runway as soon as it was safe to do so.

A number of inbound and outbound flights have been affected and passengers are advised to contact their airline for the latest flight information.

At 8.15am there had been 25 outbound flight cancellations and 20 flights had been diverted to other airports.

We apologise for the disruption caused to our passengers’ travel plans.
