Gatwick cowgirls round-up the pounds for Children In Need

BAA Gatwick employees have raised £1,500 for BBC Children In Need and the money is still rolling in.
ID centre staff organised a raffle and dressed up as cowgirls (and a horse!) to collect money from fellow BAA Gatwick employees. Tickets are still being sold and prizes include a Tom Tom sat nav, dinner for two at Frankie and Benny’s, free car rental for a weekend, champagne, spirits, wine, teddy bears, Clarins creams, chocolates, perfume and a £50 meal voucher.
BAA Gatwick teamed up with The Book People to run a staff book sale and 10% of the proceeds were donated to the appeal. Staff also raised money from a cake sale.
Anne Wilson at the Gatwick ID Centre helped to organise the raffle and collection. She said: “We had a lot of fun as cowgirls for the day but the serious side is that this money will make a real difference to disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.”
The Gatwick Airport Community Trust will also donate £500, so the grand total will eventually be over £2 ,000.
