With 2,500 employees we operate the world’s busiest single runway airport serving nearly 33 million passengers and 90 airlines offering flights to over 200 destinations. Our ambition is to be the airport of choice for airlines and to make Gatwick the most successful leisure airport.

To support this aim we have a £1 billion capital investment programme which by 2012 will:

• Add security capacity
• Extend our baggage facilities
• Increase South Terminal departure lounge capacity
• Improve the terminal transit
• Resurface the northern runway to keep it open 24/7
• Match the opening of check-in to passenger arrival
• Improve communications to passengers on flights using flight information screens.
