Private hire taxi services are provided by the airport's official partner, Checker Cars.
The company operates a quoted fare system and cars can be pre-booked with fares paid in advance or at the end of the journey, by cash or credit card. Cars with swivel seats are available for disabled travellers.
Checker Cars has booking offices in the North Terminal arrivals area and in the South Terminal entrance building.
A journey to central London takes approximately 65 minutes and costs around £77 (plus £8 congestion charge if your destination is within the charging zone).
