BAA UK Airport Commercial Division

BAA Ltd

BAA Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of a consortium led by the Spanish company, Ferrovial, Europe’s leading infrastructure, construction and service group and the largest private infrastructure operator in the world. In the UK, BAA operates seven airports from the world’s busiest international airport, Heathrow, to regional airports such as Southampton and Aberdeen.

In the year to March 2007 BAA UK airports handled 148.3 million departing and arriving passengers. Two thirds of all UK air travellers passed through our seven UK airports in the last twelve months and one in six of all international journeys involves a landing or take off from one of these airports.

BAA is also one of the most important businesses in the UK, operating at the heart of the UK’s international air transport network and hosting over 100 airlines, as well as hundreds of supporting businesses that operate within our airports’ estate.

BAA Commercial

Commercial activities are crucial to generating the revenues that we need to fund the massive infrastructure developments that are essential to fulfilling our role as the UK’s gateway airport operator and, of course, to delivering a traveller service that matches the hugely important, high profile status of our airports. Many of these services have a direct influence on creating an enjoyable experience for the millions of people that pass through our airports.

Our own commercial activities, that help to power our airports services and infrastructure, encompass a broad range of activities from property to the Heathrow Express.
