A warm welcome to Gatwick!

at check-in

You may have already noticed, but here at Gatwick, the world’s busiest single runway and the UK’s best connected airport, we have been working hard since the break-up of BAA to significantly improve the airport experience for our passengers and for our airline partners.

Under new ownership, we have already completed a £1.2 billion investment programme that has transformed Gatwick, the services we offer and our infrastructure, as we seek to become London’s airport of choice. We don’t want our passengers to end up at Gatwick by default, we want them to actively choose Gatwick and our airline partners for our higher quality service and lower costs

south terminal security

In many ways we have already reached this goal. We now have state-of-the-art security facilities which 95% of our passengers clear in less than 5 minutes. Our refurbished South Terminal is recognised as one of the best in Europe, with more space, more retail choice and the largest World Duty Free store in Europe.

There is more to come. This year will see the completion of our new, £140 million Pier 1, which will include a new international departure and arrival facilities, passenger lounges and an updated baggage handling system capable of processing 4250 bags an hour.

We are also investing a further  £1 billion primarily in our  North Terminal to bring it up to  the same high standard as the South, all while maintaining one of the lowest airline costs in Europe.

Don’t just take our word for it. Come and see for yourself!  We’d welcome the opportunity to meet with you, to help you define the most profitable route deployment into London and show you the remarkable transformation that is underway.
