Who we are
Welcome to Gatwick - the UK's second largest airport, where we've been connecting family, friends and businesses since the 1930s.
Over 20,000 people work together across the airport to deliver a great experience for our passengers - and make time fly.
Discover who we are and why you should grow your career with us.
Where in the world?
We're located just 30 minutes away from Central London and Brighton by train in Crawley, West Sussex. Over 40% of our people use public transport to get to work, with excellent bus and cycle networks to the local area. And if you work in our office teams, you can split your time between the airport and home.
Our story so far
We’ve come a long way since the 30s. Read more about our key milestones. From private aerodrome, to the busiest single-runway airport in the world.
Our decade of change
We're working hard towards being the UK's most sustainable airport. We've set ourselves ambitious goals, which include reaching net zero before 2040.
We're an Equal Plane
We are passionate about creating a diverse and inclusive place to work. Different perspectives and backgrounds help us to be more innovative and creative, engaging our people along the way.
We've recently launched a people led group called Equal Plane. They challenge us to be the most inclusive place to work we can be, tackle bias in the workplace, and ensure that we have an attractive place for all our people to grow their career.
Building for the next generation
We work with local schools and organisations to promote the importance of the STEM subjects - that's science, technology, engineering and maths. We run several programmes to encourage more girls to take up careers in aviation, particularly in engineering.
Our people mentor local school children through Dare to Dream and take part in Learn Live broadcasts from the airport, providing an insight into what it takes to run an airport and future career paths.
