In 2016 Gatwick Airport Limited spent £139.4m directly with local and regional suppliers (BN, CR, GU, KT, RH, TN postcodes) reflecting our active focus on improving opportunities for local business to supply to Gatwick. A large proportion of Gatwick’s goods and services are procured through long term framework contracts, so we can form strong partnerships and many of these partners are locally based. We work closely with all of our partners to encourage and develop a strong and sustainable local supply chain.

We work with economic partnerships and local business organisations across the region to promote local supply chain activity and support the growth and success of local businesses. We are sponsoring partners for the Gatwick Diamond Meet the Buyers 2017, and have been actively involved in this event since 2002.
Gatwick Diamond Meet the Buyers brings local, regional and national buyers together with local businesses in the region. Now in it’s 17th year, this highly successful programme is estimated to have created over £22.5m of business since 2010. In October 2017 there will be more than 2,000 sales meetings at the Meet the Buyers event. This year’s programme will be supported by a series of 9 seminars designed to help participants grow their skills to make the most of every opportunity that Gatwick Diamond Meet the Buyers offers. Delivered by presenters who have real experience in their field, these free seminars are available to any business.
We are also sponsorship partners with Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership for Big Breakfast Networking, a well-established business to business networking event hosted at IKEA Croydon. As part of our partnership we are rolling out events in Sussex and Surrey, to give more local businesses the opportunity to connect and grow by generating new business.
