Disabled parking

Blue Badge or disabled parking at Gatwick is easy and accessible routes into the terminals clearly signposted.

There are plenty of help points for passengers with reduced mobility both inside the car parks and outside the terminals. Assistance for passengers with special needs is complimentary.

All Gatwick’s car parking facilities are fully compliant with the Equalities Act.

Blue Badge parking

Short stay parking

For same-level access to the terminals without the need to use lifts or stairs, we recommend that you use level 2 of car park 3 in South Terminal and level 3 of car park 5 in North Terminal. We provide Blue Badge bays in the short stay car parks of both our North and South terminals. 

As a special concession, Blue Badge holders can park in the Premium parking area at the standard short term car parking tariff (up to four hours). To take advantage of the Premium parking facilities for Blue Badge holders, press the ‘assistance’ button at the entrance barrier to the Premium parking area and give your Blue Badge number.

Note: Please do not put your ticket into the machine at the barrier or you may be charged the standard Premium parking rate.

When you return to your car and leave the Premium parking area, use the ‘assistance’ button to advise the attendant.

Long stay parking

If you are parking at the airport for more than a few hours, we recommend that you use the our long term car parks where we also have marked Blue Badge bays. All of these bays offer easy access and minimum distances to bus stops.

If you need to take your Blue Badge abroad, you must first show it to the car park attendant before leaving your car – simply press the ‘assistance’ button at the entry barriers.   

If you need assistance throughout your journey we recommend that you pre-book with your airline or travel agent at least 48 hours in advance. But if you haven’t done this, we’ll do our very best to help – just go to a help point with your flight details to hand.

There are special drop-off points on our forecourts for passengers for Blue Badge holders or passengers who've booked assistance at the airport. There are also help points located nearby in case you need extra assistance. 

Blue badge holder pick-up

If you are meeting a passenger who holds a blue badge you can pick them up from both the South and North Terminal drop-off zones.

Please note you will need to display the blue badge on your vehicle at all times.

To ensure that there is no congestion on the forecourt, we ask passengers to arrange for their vehicle to pick them up only when they have reached the special assistance waiting area on the forecourt, close to the drop-off zone.

You can wait for your passenger in either the short stay car parks or take advantage of up to two hours free parking in our long stay car parks.

PRM Pick up for pre-booked long stay parking 

If you have parked in our long stay car park and have travelled with a person with reduced mobility, you can pick them up from the short stay car park near the terminal, free of charge.

Before exiting the long stay car park, please go to the customer service office by the exit and staff will let you know what to do.
