By train

The Gatwick Express which runs every 15 minutes ​and takes​ 30 minutes​ to reach Central London.

By car

Journey times vary depending on your destination​ and traffic, but take around one hour.

By taxi

You can book with our approved taxi partner, Airport Cars Gatwick to take you anywhere in London.

By coach

National Express ​run ​direct services to London Victoria once an hour taking an hour and a half.

Travelling to other London airports

Do you have a flight from another airport? Here's some helpful information to help you make the journey to the other airports close to London.

By train
All rail services operate from London Gatwick's South Terminal. If you arrive at North Terminal simply take the terminal shuttle service to the South Terminal which takes just two minutes.

London Gatwick to Heathrow

Gatwick Express trains to London Victoria depart every 15 minutes from South Terminal and take 30 minutes. The Heathrow Express service departs from Paddington every 15 minutes. Terminal 4 passengers should change at Heathrow Central.

Heathrow Connect services operate between the same stations, but run half hourly and are a slower, stopping service.

Passengers can also travel to and from Heathrow and the centre of London on the Piccadilly line tube.

You can travel between Victoria and Paddington stations by bus, taxi or London Underground (District and Circle Lines).

London Gatwick to Stanstead

Gatwick Express departs every 15 minutes to London Victoria station and takes just 30 minutes. Stansted Express trains depart from London Liverpool Street every 15 or 30 minutes with an average journey time of 45 minutes.

You can also pick up the Stansted Express service from Tottenham Hale Underground Station (Victoria line).

You can travel between Victoria and Liverpool Street stations by bus, taxi or London Underground (Circle Line or Victoria and Central lines).

London Gatwick to Luton

Thameslink offer direct train services to Luton Airport Parkway every 15 minutes at peak times. The journey takes around 75 minutes. There is then a free 10-minute shuttle bus journey to the terminal building.

By coach
National Express and megabus operate non-stop services between London Gatwick and Heathrow, and National Express have some direct services to Stansted and Luton airports.

London Gatwick to Stansted - around 3 hours

London Gatwick to Luton - around 2 hours 30 minutes for direct services
