Supporting local communities forms part of our sustainability policy - our Second Decade of Change to 2030
Our policy sets out our plan to invest resources in programmes and partnerships in the South East. We will also support those communities most affected by our operations.

Our Foundation Fund supports community projects that fight social isolation and disadvantage, raise aspirations, develops skills and improve health and wellbeing. Each year there are three rounds of funding split equally between Sussex, Surrey and Kent.
The VINCI UK Foundation
As part of the VINCI network, we support projects that bring people together. Our people work with community groups to build long term partnerships and develop projects that develop social cohesion and fight isolation .

Charities
We have raised over £1 million for our charity partners since 2015. From Tough Mudder challenges to cake baking, we've done it all. Our passionate and caring colleagues enjoy fundraising for our charity partners.
It’s important to our colleagues and passengers to support causes that help local people, and ensure we're making a difference in the communities where we live and work.
Surrey and Sussex Hospital Trust Charity (SASH) is our main charity partner.
Gatwick Travelcare logoIndependent charity Gatwick TravelCare helps over 2,000 passengers with travel-related problems each year.
The team resolve a range of issues, including passengers who miss flights or have passport problems. They work closely with support services and are crucial to the smooth running of our airport.

SASH charity logoThis hospital charity supports healthcare workers and patients in our local NHS Trust. The Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust supports a catchment area of over 500,000 people.
Donations go towards equipment, training, and improving the hospital environment. Our colleagues voted SASH our charity partner in 2020.
This independent charity saves lives, by providing the best possible emergency medical care. Their skilled pilots deliver medical teams to people who are unwell or injured.
Their crews are ready to respond every minute of the day, every day of the year. Every penny raised goes into supporting this vital service for the local communities.
