Who we are

Find out why we're the airport for everyone, whatever your journey

Where in the world?

Welcome to London Gatwick, the UK's second largest airport. We've been connecting family, friends and businesses since the 1930s.

We're located just 30 minutes away from Central London and Brighton by train in Crawley, West Sussex.

Over 20,000 people work together across the airport to deliver a great experience for our passengers, to ensure we are the airport for everyone, whatever your journey.

We've accelerated our commitment to be a net zero airport for our own scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 2030. This will be achieved by investing over £250 million to reduce carbon emissions.

Our future plans

London Gatwick's main and Northern Runway with aircraft

We're looking forward. We've set out our plans to bring our existing Northern Runway into routine use, alongside our Main Runway. We want to boost the local economy and support our region.

Our future plans

We're part of the VINCI network, the world's leading private airport operator

VINCI Airports operates 65 airports in 12 countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Through VINCI, we're committed to positive mobility for our passengers and our people. You'll have global opportunities to share knowledge, learn new skills and grow your career.

We're the airport for everyone

We're passionate about creating a diverse and inclusive place to work. Different perspectives and backgrounds help us to be more innovative and creative, engaging our people along the way.

We're proud to have four people-led Business Resource Groups challenging us to be more inclusive, tackling bias in the workplace, and ensuring everyone can develop their careers, while providing the best experience to all our passengers.

Building for the next generation

Through our dedicated on-site STEM centre and our work with local schools and groups to promote the importance of science, technology, engineering, and maths, we're encouraging more girls to take up careers in aviation, especially in engineering.

Our people mentor local school children through Dare to Dream and take part in Learn Live broadcasts from the airport. This provides insight into what it takes to run an airport and future career paths.
