Coach & bus
Gatwick is linked to more than 100 UK towns and cities by direct coach and bus services, and hundreds more with just one change. Many of these services run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Local buses serve the towns and villages close to the airport, as well as regional and national coach services to London and other destinations, including: Heathrow, central London, Bristol, Brighton, Birmingham, Oxford, Cambridge and Norwich. The Airport Transfer Service buses drop off and pick up from local hotels and the airport terminals.
Bus stops
Most services operate from the lower South Terminal forecourt. Some also call at North Terminal (on the lower level outside international arrivals). Local buses, operated by Metrobus, depart from stops on the A23.
Tickets
There are National Express ticket desks in the North and South Terminals. Tickets for most other services can be booked in advance with the coach operator or bought on board.
Accessibility
Nearly all coach services operated by National Express are wheelchair accessible. Step-free access to the coach is provided by a passenger lift in the main door of the vehicle. Customers can either travel in their wheelchair or transfer to a seat and put the wheelchair in the hold. However, due to the large variety of wheelchairs people use, National Express ask that you book at least 36 hours before travel so they can check that your wheelchair is compatible.
Most services operate from the lower South Terminal forecourt. Some also call at North Terminal (on the lower level outside international arrivals). For more information please call the National Express Assisted Travel team on +44 (0)871 818178. Lines are open 7 days a week between 08.00 and 20.00.
