Sunday 20 May - GTR timetable change

From 02:00 on Sunday 20 May, a completely new timetable will be operating on all GTR services. The time of every train on the network will change. 

Monday 21 May - Changes to overnight Thameslink services

For eight weeks there will be changes to overnight Thameslink services. Some will be replaced with Southern trains to Victoria or a bus replacement service. 

Ongoing disruption to Southern overnight rail services to and from Gatwick

Southern Rail is making a key change to overnight services from London Victoria to Gatwick and Brighton to enable Network Rail to carry out essential engineering works. 

Overnight Thameslink services to London Blackfriars and London St Pancras International are not affected. See the overnight timetable.

Please plan your journey in advance and allow plenty of extra time to get to the airport.

Which services will be affected?

  • On Sunday - Thursday nights there will be no Southern trains departing after 00:05 and before 04:52 operating to or from London Victoria to Gatwick Airport/Brighton. 
  • There will be no overnight Gatwick Express services between 23:30 and 05:00.
  • Passengers with Southern tickets will be able to use Thameslink services from London Blackfriars to travel between central London and East Croydon, Gatwick Airport/Brighton. Late evening and overnight Thameslink services will call additionally at Purley, Coulsdon South, Merstham, Redhill and Horley, with some trains also running to Haywards Heath and Brighton.
  • Southern services will run as normal on Friday and Saturday nights.
