What should I do if my flight is cancelled?

If your flight is cancelled, please speak to your airline directly who may be able to help. If they are unable to help, go to the Your Service Centre operated by Skybreak who offer a recovery service to passengers to make last minute travel arrangements as a result of cancelled or missed flights.

Where can I get updates on my flight?

Visit our live Flights page to find your flight, and click the 'Email Alerts' switch to receive updates. Alternatively, you can use our chatbot, GAIL, who is ready to answer any questions you may have on flight information.

How do I change my flight booking?

Please contact your airline directly to make a name change or correction on your booking.

What should I do if I have missed my connecting flight?

Once you land at London Gatwick, collect your bags from baggage reclaim and proceed through customs. You should contact your onward airline to discuss your options. Your Service Centre operated by Skybreak, which is located in the South Terminal check in zone J or on level 2 in the North Terminal, may be able to help with alternative travel arrangements.

What compensation am I entitled to for flight delays or cancellations?

Regulation EU 261/2004 protects the rights of passengers in the event of a flight delay, cancellation or denied boarding. Regulation 889/2002 ensures that air passengers can claim compensation from the airline in the event of loss, damage, destruction or delay of baggage. Which terminal does my airline fly from?

To check which terminal your airline operates from, please check your boarding pass or one of the many flight information displays in the terminals. You can also find out on our Which terminal page.

What do I do if I miss my flight?

If you miss your flight please contact your airline directly. If they are unable to help, you can go to the Your Service Centre desk operated by Skybreak, which offers a range of services, including rebooking flights. Their desks are located in South Terminal check-in zone J and North Terminal check-in zone D.

Do you have information of how long it will take to walk to our gate?

Departure gates can change so please use the flight information displays in the departure lounge to find your gate. The flight information screens will show your flight number, gate number and when it is time for you to board.

What should I do if my airline or travel agent ceases trading?

If your airline or travel agent has ceased trading, please visit the CAA website for advice on problems with a travel agent, failure of scheduled airlines and airline suspensions.
