Is there any doctor or first aid clinic?

If there is a medical emergency please call 999 immediately. Alternatively you can ask a member of staff for assistance, or call the Gatwick Control Centre on 01293 501222 from your phone for ambulance and first aid. Please note there is a Boots pharmacy before and after security in both terminals if you require any medication or first aid products.

Where can I smoke or vape at London Gatwick, is there a smoking lounge?

You can smoke outside the terminal buildings in the designated zones which are clearly marked. There's no smoking once you've passed through security and there are no smoking facilities for passengers connecting from an international-to-international flight. However, at South Terminal, the My Lounge features an outdoor terrace where passengers can smoke if they wish. E-cigarettes and vapes have the same restrictions and can only be used in the designated areas outside the terminal buildings.

Is it possible to book flight tickets whilst at the airport?

If you miss your flight or your flight is cancelled, please contact your airline directly. If they are unable to assist, you can go to the Your Service Centre desk operated by Skybreak, which offers a range of services, including rebooking flights. You can also book flights online on our website.

How do I access the internet/Wi-Fi at the airport?

When you arrive, please follow the steps below to connect to our free WiFi. 'Free Gatwick Wi-Fi' from the available wireless networks. A pop-up screen will appear with a sign-up form. Follow the instructions. Click the button to get online. If you would like to access exclusive offers and discounts through myGatwick, simply add your name and a password to create an account.

Where can I go in the airport for help and advice?

We have a Your Service Centre desk in each terminal; in the South terminal opposite zones J to K and in the North terminal atrium opposite zone D.

Can I charge my electronic devices at the airport?

Yes, you’ll find free charging points conveniently located across both terminals, both before and after security. In the South Terminal before security, there are power outlets near Caffè Nero opposite the escalator. After security, there are plenty of charging points in the seating in the departure lounge. In the North Terminal before security, you’ll find plug sockets near the easyJet check-in on level 1, and after passing through, there are charging points in the seating in the departure lounge.

Many of our restaurants and bars also offer USB and power points at tables or counters, ensuring you can charge while you relax or refuel.

Are there any banks at the airport?

Unfortunately there are no banks in the airport, however cash machines (ATMs) and currency exchange kiosks are available in both terminals before and after security. The cash machines will accept all valid UK bank cards and there is no charge for using this service. They also accept credit cards which your credit card company may charge for.

Are there bag wrapping services available?

Bag wrapping services are provided by Excess Baggage Company who have outlets in the check-in areas in both the terminals.

Is there anywhere quiet I can sit in the departure lounge?

Yes, there are quiet zones in the departure lounge after security where you can sit and relax in a less noisy environment.

Are there any business facilities?

You can book a lounge with business zones at the airport to get some work done or have a meeting. We also have free Wi-Fi available throughout the airport. For those wanting to save time and get through security as quickly as possible, you can book Fast Track Security for a speedy transition into the departure lounge.

Are there baggage trolleys available?

Luggage trolleys are available all around both terminal buildings. They are operated using a coin deposit system. You will need a £1 or €1, which is refunded when the trolley is returned. For health and safety reasons, children or adults must not ride on the trolleys.

Can I store bags at the airport?

Excess Baggage Company offer a secure, flexible service for baggage storage at London Gatwick that works around you. Whether you need to leave your baggage for a couple of hours, or want to store your luggage for a few weeks, Excess Baggage Company's Left Luggage facilities are there for your convenience. You can book your luggage in ahead of time, or simply turn up on the day.

What is Skybreak and where are they located?

Located in South Terminal zone J and North Terminal zone D, Your Service Centre, in partnership with Skybreak, offers a range of services to help you at the airport. These include missed flight assistance, flight bookings, hotels, onward travel, airport lounge reservations, attractions in London or general airport questions.

Where are the water fountains?

There are water fountains available after security in both terminals and all the restaurants and bars will fill bottles for free.

In the North Terminal there are two fountains on the right-hand side of the entrance to the World Duty Free store, after security. There are also water fountains near the toilets on the lower level by the Special Assistance area and on the upper level by the toilets nearest the escalator.

In the South Terminal there is a water fountain on the upper level by toilets nearest the Special Assistance area. There is another on the lower lever at the entrance to the toilets. There are also water fountains in the immigration halls outside the toilets before going through passport control.

What are the currency exchange options at the airport?

You can exchange money at London Gatwick with ChangeGroup, which has 15 branches and around 70 ATMs across both terminals. They offer over 60 currencies and better rates if you order online in advance.

Is there a viewing area for plane spotting?

There is no plane viewing area at London Gatwick, however if you are travelling from London Gatwick, there are views of the airfield from the some lounges, restaurants and piers to the departure gates.

Can I take a baggage trolley on the inter-terminal shuttle?

Yes, you can take luggage trolleys and all your luggage on the inter-terminal shuttle.

Where can I pray?

We welcome people of all faiths to join us in our chapel and prayer rooms. Our chapel and prayer rooms, located in both North and South Terminal, are open 24 hours a day to people of all faiths for private prayer and meditation.

How do I transfer between terminals?

We have a free inter-terminal shuttle that will take you to and from both terminals with a journey time of around two minutes. It runs every few minutes 24/7 and with a journey time of just 2 minutes. There are signs in both terminals directing you to the inter-terminal shuttle.

Are there printing facilities available?

Internet and printing kiosks are no longer available in North or South Terminal. If you need to access the internet to download your boarding pass, you can take advantage of our unlimited free Wi-Fi though. Go to your internet connection settings and join the 'Free Gatwick Wi-Fi' network to get started.

Where are the post boxes?

In the North Terminal the post boxes are located in the check-in area on level 1, near WHSmith on level 2, and after security at the exit from World Duty Free.

In the South Terminal the post boxes are located at the end of check-in zone D, near the toilets on the arrivals concourse, and on the 3rd floor near the entrance to departures.

There isn't a Post Office at the airport, but stamps can be bought at WHSmith. Excess Baggage Company, located in both terminals, also offers a parcel courier service.

Where can I claim back my VAT/tax?

If you're a passenger leaving the UK, you can no longer claim VAT refunds at the airport. You can purchase duty-free goods from the departure lounge but you can no longer reclaim VAT on high street purchases.
